Implementing Online and Blended Learning Programs: A Panel Discussion Hosted by The Virtual High School

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Foxborough Regional Charter School, Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, Hopkinton High School and Hanover High School will share their motivation for selecting online and blended learning to support their educational goals. The right online or blended learning initiative can build students’ 21st century skills, supplement a school’s curriculum, and give schools a competitive edge. A well-planned initiative also provides teachers with tools and resources they can use to improve student experiences in their face-to-face classrooms. This session will provide school leaders with high-level guidance for implementing online and blended programs that benefits teachers, students, parents, and school districts.

Today, the power of technology provides students with the opportunity to go beyond their classroom walls, to explore courses not offered and provide them with 21st century skills that will prepare them for a successful future. The addition of online and blended courses requires clear planning and specific policies in order to ensure success. Our panel will present examples and a framework for successful online program implementation.

The Virtual High School (VHS) will act as the session moderator and will discuss and answer general online and blended learning topics and will deliver questions to the panel members as needed.
