We are pleased to announce the MassCUE and M.A.S.S. 2016 Annual Technology Conference, co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Computer Using Educators (MassCUE) and the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (M.A.S.S.). Both organizations recognize the benefits of a collaborative partnership that focuses on the collective interests of our school districts.  We will be providing educators from across the Commonwealth and New England with exciting ways to enhance teaching and learning with technology.

Connecting Beyond the Walls

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Connecting beyond the walls of your classroom and library is a must for both students and teachers in our digital age. Join us to learn about building PLNs (Personal Learning Networks), using a variety of social media tools with your students and classes (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Google Hangouts, Skype, etc.), and accessing a variety of online websites that expand your students' audience from only one (you!) to the world.  Your digital toolbox will be filled and you'll be ready to connect beyond the walls!

This session will focus on encouraging teachers and librarians to look outside the walls of their classroom and even their school to make connections for themselves and their students.  The importance of a PLN for connecting and learning as an educator will be stressed.  Various levels of usages of social media accounts will be modeled and shown from other educators across the nation.  Several website/tools will be modeled and taught that extend and enhance traditional teaching methods.
