Technology has a language. It’s called code. And we believe coding is an essential skill. Learning to code teaches you how to solve problems and work together in creative ways. And it helps you build apps that bring your ideas to life. We think everyone should have the opportunity to create something that can change the world. So we’ve designed a new approach to coding that lets anyone learn, write, and teach it. In this
hands-on session we will be sharing the following resources so that you can provide this experience to your students:
- Swift Playgrounds—a free app for iPad for first-time coders that provides a complete set of Apple-designed lessons that make getting started fun and interactive.
- The Swift Playgrounds: Teacher Guide—includes ideas for lessons and group activities that work in the classroom or in after-school programs.
- App Development with Swift—a Multi-Touch book that provides students with the tools, techniques, and concepts needed to build iOS apps from scratch using Mac.
- The App Development with Swift: Teacher Guide—designed for use with high school and college students who are new to programming, provides lesson activities, reflection questions, and journal prompts along with presentation tips.
