Katie Miller is an educational technology consultant based in Bristol, RI. She is a passionate advocate for empowering school leaders to recognize and embrace the transformational power of technology in learning. At the end of the 2015 calendar year, Katie completed 20 rewarding years of service as the Director of Technology in the Barrington Public Schools in Barrington, RI. In this role she successfully navigated aligning disparate systems and building a robust infrastructure designed to serve rapidly evolving district needs. Transformation is now well underway in-district with an FY16 1:1 Chromebook initiative at Barrington High School and an approved, sustainable plan for 1:1 in grades 5-12 in FY18.
